How to Get Your Facebook Review Link (and Share It)
Find your Facebook Page's review link in a minute, turn on Recommendations if they're off, and share the link by text, WhatsApp or QR code.
Facebook doesn't give businesses a short "review link" button the way Google does. The link is simply the address of your Page's Reviews tab. Here's how to find it, how to switch reviews on if they're missing, and how to get it in front of customers.
Quick answer
Go to your Facebook Page, click Reviews below the cover photo (under More if you don't see it), and copy the address from your browser. That's your Facebook review link. No Reviews tab means Recommendations are switched off.
Step 1: Find your Facebook review link
- Open your business Page on Facebook in a web browser.
- Click Reviews below the cover photo. You may need to click More first.
- Copy the address from the browser's address bar. It's usually your Page address followed by
/reviews. - Open the link on your phone while signed in to a different account (or ask a friend) to check it lands on your Reviews tab.
Facebook's help centre describes the Reviews tab in how Page review counts and ratings work.
Step 2: No Reviews tab? Turn Recommendations on
If the tab is missing, reviews are switched off for your Page. Facebook's steps to turn Recommendations on or off are:
- Log in to Facebook and click your profile photo in the top right.
- Click See all profiles, then pick the Page you want to switch into.
- Click your Page's profile photo in the top right.
- Click Settings and privacy, then Settings.
- Click Page and tagging.
- Turn on Allow others to view and leave reviews on your Page?
Facebook notes that if your Page had reviews before, Recommendations were turned on automatically.
How Facebook ratings work
A few things from Facebook's own help pages are worth knowing before you start asking:
- Reviews are called Recommendations. Customers leave a recommendation on your Page, and Facebook shows a rating based on them.
- You may need five before a rating shows. Facebook says a Page may not have a rating if it hasn't received at least five reviews.
- Only public ones count. A customer can share a recommendation with friends only, and those don't count toward your rating.
- Customers must be signed in. Anyone logged in to Facebook can publish a recommendation on a Page that has them turned on.
- Facebook doesn't check purchases. It says it doesn't verify that reviewers bought from you. If a recommendation breaks Facebook's rules, report it rather than arguing in the replies.
Step 3: Share the link
Send it the same way you'd send any review link: one customer at a time, soon after the job, from a channel they already use.
WhatsApp or text
Hi [Name], thanks for coming in today! If you have a minute, we'd love a recommendation on our Facebook page: [link]
Facebook Messenger, replying to a customer's message
Glad you're happy with it! If you'd like to recommend us on our page, here's the link: [link]
Printed QR code
Paste the link into our free review QR code generator and put the code on receipts, invoices or thank-you cards. Test it with your phone before you print.
Ask everyone in the same way and don't offer anything in return. For in-person wording, see our guide to how to ask for reviews.
Facebook or Google: which should you ask for?
For most local businesses, Google reviews do more work because they show up when people search for you and on Google Maps. Facebook recommendations matter most if your customers find you on Facebook: cafés, salons, venues and local shops with an active Page. You don't have to choose. Ask for Google by default, and offer Facebook to customers who already follow or message your Page. To get your Google link, see how to send your Google review link.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a link to my Facebook reviews?
Open your business Page, click the Reviews tab below the cover photo (it may be under More), and copy the address from your browser. That address is your review link.
Why doesn't my Facebook Page have a Reviews tab?
Recommendations are probably turned off. Switch into your Page, open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Page and tagging, and turn on "Allow others to view and leave reviews on your Page?".
Are Facebook reviews the same as recommendations?
Yes. Facebook calls them Recommendations, and uses the public ones to work out your Page's rating.
Why doesn't my Page show a rating yet?
Facebook says a Page may not show a rating until it has at least five reviews, and only recommendations shared publicly count.
Can customers leave a Facebook review without an account?
No. Customers need to be logged in to Facebook to publish a recommendation.
